University of Hawai’i at Hilo hosted the Pacific Congress on Marine Science and Technology to discuss Climate Change. The issues discussed were how to reduce damage to the oceans, and alternatives energies to fossil fuels blamed for releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
Among those topics was how to counter the Global Warming skeptics that seized on last Novembers email scandal that showed scientists exaggerating, and even falsifying, climate data. The scandal called “Climategate” was amplified after one of the most coldest and snowiest winters in the Northern Hemisphere in decades.
However, as the Hilo Tribune-Herald reports, these scientists are choosing to ignore the scandal, and the skeptics, in favor of promoting the myth of Global Warming. Using the methods that inflated the exaggeration of climate data, these scientists are trying to reignite the fears of some planetary disaster looming in our future, and it’s all your fault.
Magaard cites the melting of glaciers and increased acidification of oceans as signs. He said a UH colleague has created models that showed predictable climate activity for millions of years, but changes over the past 40 years fit the model only when it includes human activity.
There’s the Climate Change narrative. Creating Models that show, or models created to show, that Global Warming is caused by Human activity. Are these the same models that were used to create a false impression of Climate Change? The same models that are carefully massaged to create the effect of Anthropogenic Global Warming, are being presented not as a hypothesis, but as factual climate data. But how can you model the climate, accurately?
How do Climate models work? Anyway you want them to behave. Models can be manipulated to perform anything you want them to do. In the case of either Global Warming, or Climate Change, you can model anything to simulate the way you want just by making the models perform to your expected results. You can make the oceans rise and fall, ice sheets appear and disappear, and storm intensities fierce and ferocious.
Knowing a little something about modeling and simulators, and having worked with simulators for over 25 years, I can tell you data can be easily manipulated. Remember last years “Lack” of Hurricanes surprised most of these so called climate scientists. The reason was because, there is no simulator, nor model, that can effectively predict all the variables in the Earth’s Climate, until after it happens, of course. We can predict local events and changes, but worldwide climate, weather, temperature changes and events are hugely complex and dynamic. Changes in the World Climate is also a series of long term events that include variables that tend to be dismissed by these crystal ball soothsayers.
What is created, is a Climate of Fear
This stunt to gather attention about the Fear of Climate Change was brought about by the claim that small islands in the Pacific will vanish due to the Oceans rising. However, the dynamics of This Island Earth, have proven the vacuous intelligentsia of Academia wrong, once again.
For years, people have warned that the smallest nations on the planet – island states that barely rise out of the ocean – face being wiped off the map by rising sea levels. Now the first analysis of the data broadly suggests the opposite: most have remained stable over the last 60 years, while some have even grown.
It’s a long way to the nearest liqueur store
Ice is increasing over land on Antarctica and Greenland, because precipitation is increasing due to warmer oceans which evaporate more rapidly. This in itself would cause ocean levels to fall. But ocean levels have been slightly rising due to glaciers melting over land. This includes ice falling more rapidly from the sides of Greenland due to warmer ocean water nearby. The amount of ice that can fall off land and into the oceans cannot produce much rise in ocean levels before increasing ice over land causes ocean levels to fall.
Well, if things don’t work out here on this Island Earth, then we could, perhaps, move to another planet. Perhaps, one in our own solar system. Like Titian, or Europa. However, Europa might be doomed by it’s namesake.
‘In four billion years’ time, when the Sun swells into a red giant, it could be paradise on Titan.’
