What’s Missing From Trump’s Sock Drawer

Alternate title; “Don’t be fooled by this fool’s folly“.  When Donald Trump splashed onto the 2012 stage of campaign of Presidential wannabes, I wondered why he didn’t send off his current crop of Apprentice contestants, but I suppose having the power to say “You’re Fired” is in the domain of Television Donald-ism.  Why let the American people have all the fun of actually voting Obama off the White House Island, with that corner office in the West Wing and all those fabulous views of the nation’s monuments.

.

I must admit that I’m no fan of Trump’s Apprentice television show.  Even more so since he’s got this guy Gary Busey playing the role of what, I don’t know, Trumps future Energy Secretary?

If Gary Busey is to Steven Chu, then we have a match made in scary socialist society.  A heavenly, heavy handed, government of excessive taxation and over-regulation.  Step 1 has already been achieved by virtue of a crisis not gone wasted.  The BP oil debacle shut down all gulf oil productions, and any future U.S. oil productions.  Yippee!! Mission Accomplished!!  Obama can now get his Libyan Bomber Flight Jacket.  Let’s hear it for a rousing Cap and Trade Plan!

.

Mr. Chu has called for gradually ramping up gasoline taxes over 15 years to coax consumers into buying more-efficient cars and living in neighborhoods closer to work. “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe,” Mr. Chu, who directs the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in California

.

European gasoline is at $6 and $8 dollars a gallon and higher in some places.  In this country, gas prices are already over $5 dollars a gallon.  So, Steven Chu is getting his wish for the Europeanization of America.  First by asking the question, “What can I do to get you out of your gas guzzling automobile and into a Chinese High-Speed Rail Train“.  I see similar parallels to Atlas Shrugs, except in a bizarro world point of view.  Meaning, we’re living Ayn Rand’s novel today, except it’s about oil and Obama’s infatuation with expensive unproven green energy.

.

This brings me back to Donald Trump’s maiden voyage aboard the S.S. Canard.  He’s been above the fold in the national media, not because of his freak show of Apprentice losers, but his coy tease of running for President of the United States, or POTUS.  Yes, oh yes, the Donald’s been going after the Obama with gusto and mirth; where’s Obama’s birth certificate, what were Obama’s college grades, these are surely important questions to our nation’s problems.  Learning about Obama’s personal information is the most pressing national security question of these days.  This, from the guy with cotton-candy hair.

.

This morning Obama released his long form birth certificate.  If we are to believe the document is authentic, then all this birther noise should go away, but it’s not going away.  Already the document is suspicious because in its electronic form, the document could be easily forged.  The Smoking Gun has more.  Why release the birth certificate now?  Was the polling data that terrible that regime Obama needed to do something?  Remember that asking any questions about Obama was considered, racist.

.

.

While some are enamored with Trump’s birther rants, Sarah Palin has been spot on the policy issues. She rightly predicted, as with many of us, that the QE2 would sink as soon as the FED set that ship floating on our sea of debt. Listen to Trump for a good laugh, but listen to Sarah Palin for policy corrections.

.

As Obama rushes off to the comforting arms of the Oprah to joke about the silliness of the whole birther scandal, there are serious issues facing this country.  From the very beginning, Sarah Palin has been swatting at the proverbial policy flies that circle around Obama’s head.  Sarah Palin saw the death panels in Obamacare.  The regime’s minions took that clause out of Obamacare, then they tried to sneak it back in, only to remove it again.  Then they put it back in and ignored any bad press about it.  But then the media has been protecting Obama, and the media continues to protect Obama.

.

It was Sarah Palin that warned about the FED’s effort to stimulate the economy by printing more money.  So now, economists are asking, what were the expectations about this second round of Quantitative Easing?  As if, to ease the disappointing results, and reset expectations.  Let’s face the scalding hot McDonald’s coffee being spilled on the crotch, without a lid, and driving at 90 miles an hour.  It didn’t do anything but make a lot of stocks go up, along with food, gas, oil, and oh, what else?

.

If we were to reset expectations every time the FED uses the mimeograph machine to print up a Trillion dollars for a one percent increase in growth, then enjoy the smell of the dollar’s shrinking value.  QE2 didn’t stimulate the economy, it didn’t create new jobs (except in public sector), and it didn’t accomplish anything.  However, it will lead to inflation and higher prices, that’s a given.

.

Sarah Palin coined the phrases, “Drill Baby Drill“, “Drill Here, Drill Now“.  The regime promptly gave $2 Billion dollars to Brazil to drill for oil, and then gave $2.8 Billion to Columbia to build a refinery.  Obama’s then said to Brazil, “We want to be your best customer“.  In effect, Obama sent American Jobs overseas.  Let’s repeat that, Obama Sent American Jobs Overseas.

.

Yet, Obama chastises corporations that move from union stranglehold states, to Right to Work friendly states.  Obama threatens to take subsidies away from oil companies.  Obama said the rich need to pay more in taxes, yet allows General Electric exemptions from paying any taxes.  You cannot get any more of a hypocritical display of hypocrisy.  Always chasing, that unicorn and skittles.

We have real opportunities to create jobs here in this country, and the Obama regime is doing everything in its power to prevent it from happening.  For example:

.

Companies that drill for oil must go through extensive permitting processes and invest billions of dollars as payments for leasing the land, exploring for possible oil fields, equipment, etc. This is all done with the understanding that assuming they follow the letter of the law, there is a chance that this investment won’t be flushed down the toilet at the end of the tunnel. It appears that in this case Shell has followed procedure and that emissions will be below any standards required by the EPA:

.

After investing billions of dollars, Shell Oil has abandoned its effort to drill for oil in Alaska.  The EPA has refused to allow permits to drill for oil.  The EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson then said, “Don’t blame us for high gas prices.”  Really?!

.

And now for your listening pleasure

The Liberal Civility

Civility was called for by the Regime ruler after the January 8th, 2011 horrific shooting of nineteen people in Tucson Arizona.  U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords was holding a town hall meeting with her constituents.  The tragedy brought forth hordes of accusations by the left against the Tea Party.  The Left blamed the Tea Party for the shooting, and labeled Gov. Sarah Palin as the responsible instigator for the crazed gunman’s actions.  This libelous charge was eventually proven false.

These false charges against the Tea Party and Sarah Palin were made by the Liberal Left.  The Liberal Lefts fake news media promoted it and ran with that narrative.  Liberal blogs went on fire breathing condemnation of Conservatives, the Tea Party and Gov. Sarah Palin.  They got away with it.  The News Media encouraged it.  After no evidence was found, the story quietly went away.

Since Obama is overtly a socialist.  So much so that he’s a closet communist.  This has embolden other communists to increase their infiltration into colleges and unions.  In this post I will show you examples of this indoctrination by communists that openly promote violence and anarchy.

What I’m about to show you will shock you.  It should frighten and anger you.  It should make you wonder about the civility of the Liberal Left.  The following contains extreme vulgar content.

.

EXTREME PROFANITY

Portland Oregon – 15 April 2011

H/T Brietbart

.

In this example, peaceful demonstrators are met with vile hate.  I’ve been visiting Portland Oregon for over 30 years; I’ve seen the Rose city transformed from a liberal quiet artsy fartsy city, to a city with a fringe violent anarchy.  Homeless people that now live out under the overpasses of I405 and I5 near the Willamette River.  I suspect most of these people came from a job declining ultra liberal California.  Then again, Oregon is a State that allows assisted suicide.  So commonsense is now on life support in Portland.

In Wisconsin, the Union Rent-A-Mob insults and threatens the citizens that pay their salaries.

.

HT BillO

.

Note the communist banners and signs.  Under communist rule in other countries, dissent is punishable by imprisonment, and even death.  This communist threat is again at America’s doorstep.  This is what the Unions, their collective, has turned their hive into, mindless drones.  They give up part of their income and give it to unscrupulous union bosses who in turn spend it anyway they want.  The rank in file drones doesn’t have a say on how the money is spent.

.

Click on the cartoon above to hear the Regime leader launch a sickening class warfare speech.

.

I’ve shown you the union demonstrations.  Now witness the college indoctrination.  I have two videos from  Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government website, and editor Publius, that shows a conspiratorial class on Union Thuggery 101.  In the video, the professors cite examples of sabotage and intimidation.  Some of the examples are disgustingly chilling in their description.  The second video is the most disturbing.  I’ve included the first video which shows some interaction between the professors and students, including some questions.  Both are equally important to see, because as overtly disturbing as this is, it relates back to this country’s leadership, and why the communists are embolden to push hard to overthrow the United States government.

It’s important that this information get distributed to as many people as possible.  Everyone needs to know where your tax dollars are being spent.  Yes, those professors are being paid by taxpayer dollars.  This is not about Free Speech; this is about the conspiratorial effort to create an atmosphere of hate and violence.  This is not education, this is indoctrination.

Hilo Tax Day Tea Party 2011

April 15th, 2011

.

Hilo, Hawai’i:  The Tea Party held several rallies in Hawai’i.  At the corner of Bishop and Kamehameha avenue, the Tea Party Patriots set up their demonstration against high taxes and big government.  These extreme Right Wing Radicals were like a gathering storm of exceptionalism.

.

Dangerous Radical

.

They gathered in an angry mob of seething hatred.  They carried signs of their intent.  They waved flags of Old Glory.  They spoke with conspirators and plotted schemes of reducing government.

.

Angry MOB

.

There’s no end to the Tea Party’s call for tax reductions and lower government.  Is that fair to government?  Why can’t the Tea Party be content with paying more taxes?  The Tea Party even brought their radical propaganda literature.

.

.

The Tea Party even sports a uniform that calls for revolution.  They call themselves Patriots.

.

White Shirts of Patriotism

.

There is a history in America’s past where revolution against the tyranny of a cruel and oppressive monarchy was driven off the shores of what was known as the New World.

A Declaration of Independence was declared in 1776.  Militias were formed.  A Nation was Won!

.

Independence

.

In 2011, we have a Declaration of Dependence.  The government has decided for the people.  You are not allowed to make our own decisions.  You will be taxed, and taxed, year after year, higher and higher, and you have no voice in the decisions your government will make.  No matter if you are Democrat or Republican, they will betray you.  They will tax you for the greater public good, as they determine what that public good shall be.  A world of dependence and entitlements.

The Army of the Hilo Tea Party was joined in alliance by the Ka’u Tea Party Patriots.  They were welcomed with open arms, broad smiles, and hearty banter.  A pattern of radical behavior.

.

Department of Education, not Energy

.

You have to explain that to Progressives that read this blog and immediately find radical fodder in acronyms.  Although energy is relevant to the degree that energy costs are rising.  As government raises taxes, the cost of goods and services rise also.  Just ask Hawai’i’s Governor.

.

.

Our newly elected governor, Neil “Krusty the Clown” Abercrombie and Finch, has announced a 1% increase in the General Excise Tax.  It’s really needed because food that the poor needs to eat will be taxed at a whopping 5%.  Of course the answer is to go on welfare and food stamps.  That way, you don’t have to care.  Someone else is paying for your freeloading.

.

They, the Tea Party, lined the sidewalks in menacing formation.  Staring down at the traffic on a quiet TGIF Hilo afternoon.

I deliberately snarked this post to point out several demeaning statements by members of congress, and the Regime’s clown prince.  Calling the Tea Party dangerous, radical, bigoted, and whatever derogatory names the Socialist Liberal Progressives like to call us.  We are bigger than that, we are more inclusive, and we are more forgiving.  We enjoy a healthy debate, but we abhor hateful personal attacks, fear mongering, class warfare, and outrageous demagoguery the left accuses the Tea Party of being.

.

And Tea, with a Variety of flavors

.

It seems our government, after the 2010 elections, hasn’t woken up and learned that the Tea Party is here to stay.  We will enact change, we will restore hope, and we will demand fiscal responsible government.  We are young and old, we are rich and poor, but we are all independent.  We believe in objectivity, rationalism, and self-reliance.  We are of many cultures, yet we share a common belief.  That makes us interdependent, but not dependent.  This is how a society functions best.

It was a wonderful afternoon with fellow Tea Party Patriots.  We met many new friends.

Act Like Adults

How about this?  You’ve maxed out all your credit and you’re only paying down the interest.  You’ve reached your credit limit, what do you do?  Simple, you go to your creditors and ask them to raise your credit limit.  Call it an investment in your future.  Investment mean Tax Increases.

That’s the central theme on the democrat’s message to raise taxes and raise the debt ceiling.  Today’s speech given by the regime chief Obama said “Unpaid for Tax Cuts“!  I don’t know how you pay for tax cuts.  That statement doesn’t make any sense.  Yet, it sounds very much like Obama is blaming George Bush still for his spending problems.  On top of that, Obama tells us that we have to start acting like adults.  That message was spread by his fluff boy David Plouffe on the Sunday talk shows.  So democrats act like adults, and Republicans don’t, huh?  Let’s hear the original meme.

Waste, fraud, and abuse, was not in Obama’s speech.  Well it was, but he dismissed it as just rhetoric.  However, the key word for raising taxes is “Investments“!  Those investments will be paid for, according to Obama, by the rich.  And by the rich, Obama means small businesses.  When you have crony capitalist corporations on the Obama economic team, like General Electric, paying no taxes, you have to ask, who does Obama consider the rich?  We have government departments doing duplicate tasks that are growing larger and more bloated.  Why don’t we cut these departments?  We are giving millions of taxpayer monies to Planned Parenthood’s abortion mills, and to National Public Radio to spread liberal hate speech.  Drop in the economic debt ocean, but symbolically and morally just.

Yet, there’s Obama praising his beloved China and Brazil as the models for growth and prosperity.   Two communists and socialist countries. There’s Obama care with its death panels and restrictions on elderly care.  Just take a Pill, Obama told one woman about her elderly mother.  The distortions that Obama commented on Paul Ryan’s budget plan are factually incorrect and outright lies.  Obama says the tax cuts are for the rich, but the tax cuts were for everybody.  If Obama doesn’t like his tax cuts, and suffers from tax guilt, then put an extra box in the 1040 tax form so you can pay more.

Don’t force the rest of us to share your tax guilt.

Of Arrogance and Grace

Contrast if you will the difference between Obama’s answers to questions about his energy policy and that of Gov. Sarah Palin.  The first thing to notice is Obama’s comments and deflections from answering the questions.  Pay particular attention to his off the cuff comments on the size of the questioner’s families and their trucks.  There is a condescending arrogance displayed when Obama answers these questions.

Now compare and contrast Gov. Sarah Palin’s answers to her energy policy.  A clear message of harnessing America’s own domestic energy sources.  While Obama wants to be Brazil’s best customer for oil, that policy still leaves America vulnerable to hostile governments and fluctuating oil prices.  Obama’s energy policy does not solve the issues of jobs, the environment, and clean energy.  Whereas, Gov. Sarah Palin has a vision, and a plan, to use domestic energy sources to provide clean cheap energy to create jobs and prosperity.

Remember this when get into your car and go to the gas pump.  The next time you get your electric bill.  The next time you shop for clothing and food.  The next time you view your paycheck.

Then ask yourself, why?

A New Day In Hawai’i, and Your Taxes Go Up

HOPE AND CHANGE THAT PEOPLE WANT

A New Day In Hawai’i.  That’s what Neil “Krusty the Clown” Abercrombie promised when he ran for governorship of the Great State of Hawai’i.  After a campaign of No Taxes, Governor Neil “Krusty the Clown” Abercrombie is raising taxes.  Hey, he’s a democrat, this is what they do, lie through their teeth and raise your taxes.  You people voted for this clown.  You could have had responsible leadership with Aiona, but Nooooooo!

“I have made clear that I will work with the budget revenues we have and ensure that public funds are spent responsibly,” he wrote in his 45-page “A New Day in Hawaii” pamphlet in September. “I’ve done this throughout my career. The people of Hawaii rightfully will not tolerate any tax increase until there are serious discussions on whether we are using our existing revenues in a way that matches our values and priorities.”

The first thing that Neil “Krusty the Clown” Abercrombie did when he got into office was to reward the Unions with a hefty increase in their healthcare insurance courtesy of the taxpayer’s monies.

Abercrombie agreed to increase the state’s contribution for health benefits to a 60-40 employer-to-employee ratio for unionized employees in the Hawaii Government Employees Association, United Public Workers, Hawaii State Teachers Association and University of Hawaii Professional Assembly. This agreement will cost the state an extra $18 million this fiscal year, and $54 million in each of the next two fiscal years.

If you’re a democrat in Hawai’i, and you make a promise, expect the opposite will be the truth.  Who benefits from the tax increase?  The Unions.  Taxpayers, not so much.  Now, after lying to the residents of Hawai’i of not raising taxes,  H.B. 793 proposes an increase in the General Excise Tax from four percent to five percent.  The reason given was the budget shortfall.

There was already a budget shortfall when Neil “Krusty the Clown” Abercrombie took office, and he gave the unions an increase in healthcare.  Who spends money like this?  Oh, democrats.

Introduced by Rep. Calvin K.Y. Say (D) on January 24, 2011, the bill passed 50 to 1 in the House on March 8, 2011.  With little, or no discussion either in the newspapers, local news television, or any other media outlet, a promise is broken, and an inevitable truth comes to light.

Gene Ward was the lone Republican that voted NO on increasing the tax.  However, seven other Republicans voted for the tax, and All the democrats voted for the tax.

The measure’s history can be followed here.  The Tea Party is planning an anti-tax rally on April 15, from 4Pm to 6Pm.

Gas Mileage Tax

File this under unintended consequences of government intervention and environmental madness.  What happens when you lose money to fund maintenance of the highway infrastructure?  Your government finds clever ways to steal more of your money, and your freedoms.  Just like the tobacco tax, it was suppose to fund all these health care programs, and when people stopped smoking, the revenue dried up, and the government now wants to tax soft drinks to recoup that lost revenue.  Now if people stop drinking soft drinks, then what?  What does the government tax next?

So now, the government wants to tax you by the miles you drive in your car.  The government wants cars to be fitted with GPS devices so they can track the miles you drive and bill you accordingly.  Wouldn’t that open the door to government spying on its citizens?

With more gas efficient cars and the new electric cars, gasoline tax revenues are declining.  But wait, didn’t Obama say he wants $53 Billion to build a High-Speed Rail system.  Isn’t Obama’s plan going to take you out of your car and make you ride the train?  Where’s that money coming from?

One the ideas are to start another Cash for Clunkers program.  That program where people turned in their old cars for incentives to buy either electric cars or more fuel efficient cars.  This was same program that wasted billions of dollars and destroyed millions of cars.  It wasn’t necessary.

It looks like General Motors is attempting to replace it’s own consumer incentives with tax payer money. The car company, bailed out of bankruptcy in 2009 by the American tax payer, appears to be turning the government into an automatic rebate provider.

….

Is the United States really prepared to deal with another tax payer paid for deal that will only benefit the now government owned GM? After all, did Cash for Clunkers part one really work out for the tax payers and auto dealers?

GM, Government General Motors electric car costs $41,000 dollars, and GM wants the taxpayers monies to pay for the $7,500 rebate to incentivize people to buy GM’s electric car, the Volt.  It all seems like contradiction at taxpayers’ expense.  Why should the taxpayers pay for rebates?

In Europe, their solution is to ban conventional automobiles all together.  The European socialists have teamed up with communist’s environmentalist to enforce a single transportation mode in the hopes it will help reduce CO2 emissions.  As crazy as that sounds, it’s very much on the minds of American environmental nutcases.  From one extreme to another.

Cars will be banned from London and all other cities across Europe under a draconian EU masterplan to cut CO2 emissions by 60 per cent over the next 40 years.

This led me to question how fuel taxes are being used here in Hawai’i. An amendment to the County of Hawai’i’s gas tax now includes the maintenance of private subdivision roads.  Currently, gas taxes are set aside to maintain the public roads, bridges, overpasses and these tax dollars are subsidized by Federal highway funds.  This is also known as the “Highway Fund“.

Before Statehood, on the Big Island of Hawai’i, in the southern districts of Puna and Ka’u, many of the roads were not under the jurisdiction of the County.  The subdivisions were considered privately owned lots on the volcanic flats where country infrastructure was not in place.  The roads were owned by the subdivision lot owners and the road maintenance was paid for by the lot owners.

A recent bill passed by the Hawai’i State Legislature changes how fuel taxes are used on the Big Island of Hawai’i.  H.B. No. 1626 was introduced and passed.  The bill allows Hawai’i County to allow the fuel tax revenues to include maintenance of private subdivision roads.

In the case of the county of Hawaii, funds may, in a manner consistent with paragraph (2), be expended for the maintenance of substandard private subdivision roads that are used by the public;

There were more people in favor of the bill’s passage than there were opposed.

The roll call is here.  Public testimony can be found here.

At first glance, the bill seems reasonable enough; allow fuel tax revenues to be used to maintain private subdivision roads.  There are many justifiable reasons for the amendment of the Hawai’i fuel tax, but are there hidden consequences?  It is true that some subdivisions roads are deplorable, to the point of impassable.  In the 1960’s the courts ruled that residents of the subdivisions must pay a road maintenance fee for the maintenance of the roads.  This ruling was applied to homeowner’s deeds.  However, there were many homeowners that lived there before statehood.  It has been huge legal contention between those that have to pay road maintenance fees, and those that either refuses to pay or do not fall under the courts actions.  What is the rate of compliance?  60%, 70%?

The Tax Foundation of Hawai’i had a interesting spin on this.  They argue that the County will be exposed to some liability issues should an incident occur.  This might create more problems than it solves.  Others argue that people knew full well what they were getting into before purchasing property in these subdivisions, or at least they should have.  Others like the roads in their current state to reduce traffic and to discourage speeders on the roads.

However, if you opposed the bill, you might get an email like this one:

I doubt very much these people wanted a understanding of anyone’s opposition to the bill and to have a discussion about it.  Probably more likely an effort to try and change your mind, or else.  It is a concern that some people would troll through public testimony looking for, and targeting people, that disagree with any legislation.  Intimidation?

Those that are by law required to pay Mandatory Road Maintenance fees wonder how this will affect their status.  Do you still have to pay your road maintenance fees?  The bill doesn’t address this question, and neither does it address how the council will distribute these funds.  There are no fiscal notes to weigh the immediate and future costs of the bill.

While the bill might be considered a “Good Intention“, there are usually consequences to such acts.  There is no fuel tax surplus, but there might be a increase of fuel taxes to meet the demand of road maintenance.  As the price of gas increases due to an inept Obama administration’s deliberate slowdown of energy production, and a Hawai’i democrat governor just itching to raise taxes, there’s very little promise of our roads being maintained by the state’s highway fund anytime soon.  What is certain is that gas taxes will go up.

A curious section in the bill states that the act will take effect on July 1, 2030.  Who knows what kind of transportation vehicles we’ll have then, and if we’ll be even using gasoline to power them.
