Even The Tin Man Had A Heart

It seems Americans are accepting of the rules and regulations that come with the so called Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare.  Otherwise, there would be a firestorm of complaints and outrage, but where is it?  If there is outrage over the denial of medical care because of Obamacare, then I’m not seeing it in either the media, the public or anywhere else.  Except, of course, among conservative bloggers and commentators.

Remember last year when that the little girl that needed a new set of lungs, but was denied because she was too young?  So, age discrimination is apart of the rules and regulations built into Obamacare.  What other discrimination’s can we expect to find?  The Obama regime keeps changing the rules and no one seems to care.  Let’s remind ourselves of what the HHS Secretary said back then:

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said today that “someone lives and someone dies” when asked to waive a regulation that stands in the way of Sarah Murnaghan, a 10-year-old girl, from receiving an adult lung that will save her life.

“Well, I would suggest sir- that again- that this is an incredibly agonizing situation where someone lives and someone dies,” says Sebelius.

Without the transplant, Sarah has an estimated three to five weeks to live. Sebelius has the power to waive the federal regulation and help the girl. (Sebelius makes the comment around 2:13 in.)

That’s a pretty cold and callus response by Sebelius, and the Obama regime stood by her decision to deny care to a desperate little girl.  Rep. Lou Barletta, R-Pa, begged Sebelius to wave the rules to help this little girl.  Are we now at the mercy of our elected representatives to beg for our healthcare needs?  A judge finally had to order Sebelius to wave the rules and allow Sarah Murnaghan the  transplant she needed.  The transplant was successful and her prognosis will allow her a full life expectancy.

Secretary’s refusal to set aside the Under 12 Rule to protect the very few children nationally who are subject to it, despite evidence showing that the Rule discriminates against children and serves no purpose, is arbitrary, capricious, and an abuse of discretion.

Is this how Obamacare is supposed to work?  Is Obamacare in actuality, denied care?  It seems that is the case, and it also seems the most vulnerable in our society will be the victims of this national healthcare nightmare.   The very young, the elderly and the very sick are routinely being denied care.  It is rationed care, make no mistake about it.

Remember that Obama promised that his healthcare plan will prevent insurance companies from dropping people’s coverage when they get sick.  But that’s what’s happening!

Guy Benson, a conservative writer at Townhall magazine, has been following this story and others around the country:

Of the 125 appeals they’ve filed on behalf of young patients so far, fewer than 20 percent have received a response, and nearly half of those were denials.

In addition to being denied healthcare, people are seeing their healthcare insurance premiums increase.  Remember that Obama said your insurance rates would go down.  That’s isn’t happening.  I’m guessing that’s what democrats and progressives had in mind when they wrote the 2,000+ page law.  Deceptively named, the “Affordable Care Act“, Obamacare is just the opposite of affordable, for both patient and doctor.  That is the nature of progressivism, it is always  the opposite of what it is named for.  But don’t be confused by the term “progressive”, it is who democrats are.  It’s just another rebranding of their political philosophy.   They say they are the party of the little guy, but their actions make the little guy littler.  Progressives love to control and shape society into their vision of utopia; unfortunately, that vision is getting people killed.

Let’s review: people that refer to themselves as democrats, are actually progressives, and progressives are socialists.  It sounds confusing, but when you listen to their political philosophy, you’ll hear it in their proposals and solutions to societies problems.  They use flowery names like, “affordable” and “care”, to convince people they know what’s best for your needs.  However, when progressives implement their ideas as policy, the opposite effect is always  the case.   Promising people free stuff is always enticing, and it’s all paid for by your government!  Who could resist that idea?

Obama, a ueber  progressive, swore up and down that insurance premiums would go down.  Obama swore that if you liked your healthcare plan and your doctor, you can keep them, PERIOD!  We know know that was all a lie!  But where is the outrage?  Crickets!  Just like Obama’s other scandals, people don’t seem to want to care.  I suppose being lied to is now acceptable to most Americans, until it begins to affect them.   Wait till the employer mandate kick in.

Watch what happens when employees learn about losing their healthcare because of Obamacare.  Listen to how more expensive their new healthcare plans will cost.  Learn how their jobs are in jeopardy because of Obamacare’s progressive policies.  Read it here!

OK, so you might be asking, what do conservatives have as the alternative to the destructive progressive policies?  We offer plenty of solutions; starting by getting government out of the way.  Obamacare puts a government bureaucrat between you and your doctor.  Conservatives want to remove that barrier.  Conservatives want you to keep more of the money you earn, so that you can spend it the way you want.  The progressive philosophy says, no, government knows what’s best for you.

Conservatives want health insurance to be allowed to be purchased across state lines.  Allowed the employee to take their coverage with them when that change jobs.  Shop for the best coverage that they want, not dictated by some government bureaucrat.  Conservatives have lots of ideas to help with healthcare, we call them free market ideas.

Conservatives want businesses to grow and profit.  Progressives want to regulate businesses and decide which business will profit and which ones will be regulated.  That’s the description of crony capitalism.  It is the progressive perversion of capitalism.  Conservatives want capitalism unfettered to grow and profit, progressives want to regulate and demonize profits.  Progressives have no problem giving away other people money to corporations that agree with their causes.  Environmentalism is one such cause that progressives embrace.   Remember all the Green Projects that Obama pumped Trillions of dollars into?  That’s your money they used to try and manipulate the green energy market.  It failed miserably and lots of people lost jobs and money.  That’s crony capitalism.

Conservatives are the real environmentalist.  Progressives are the opposite of environmentalism.  Environmental groups like the criminal organization “Sierra Club” are not for the environment, they are for regulating businesses out of business.  The name conservative means to conserve; conserving the environment, conserving your savings, conserving your freedoms, conserving your liberty, conserving the United States Constitution.  We conservatives don’t have to rebrand ourselves into cutesy names like progressives need to do.  Conservatives keep their promises, whereas progressives use promises to get what they want, and to hell with everyone else.  Why else would progressives want to regulate the health care industry, but to control your access to healthcare providers, i.e. Doctors.  Conservatives want the traditional relationship between the doctor and patient, without some progressive government bureaucrat deciding if you are worthy of healthcare.  Remember when Alaska Governor, and former Vice Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin was excoriated by progressives by suggesting that Obamacare would be regulated by government “Death Panels”?  She Was Right!  There’s is no denying that!

Remember when conservative Senator Ted Cruz filibustered in the Senate against Obamacare?  The progressives then decided it was in their political advantage to shutdown the government and then blame it on the republicans.  Senator  Ted Cruz knew what was coming, he tried to warn people, but progressives along with their corrupt media allies blamed the government shutdown on the republicans.  The republican leadership, or lack thereof, didn’t have the principles to stand up and fight.  Who loses?  We all do.

True conservatives are for limited government, less regulations and more individual liberties.  Freedom is not free, it comes with a price.  Which is why we need a strong military to defend our freedoms.  Conservatives understand that purpose of the governments role and responsibilities, but progressives abhor that and want to government to control your life, because they believe they know what’s best for you.  It seems Americans agree with that philosophy.  Americans have been giving up their freedoms for promises of free healthcare, free retirement, free housing; all the promises of Social Justice that progressives campaign on.

Americans are being wooed with the progressive promise of income equality.  Progressives claim that corporations are making huge sums of money at your expense.  Yet, progressives cozy up to ultra rich Hollywood types and sports athletes that make millions of dollars.  Yet, these progressive allies offer little in jobs and advancement for the average American struggling to pay their bills.  Progressive demonize corporate executives salaries saying they are being paid too much, yet the progressives get rich through crony capitalism at your expense.  Corporations that offer jobs and upward mobility, a career path to success and the American dream.  Progressives  want to keep the American people on the government plantation where they can dictate what job you can have, what healthcare you’ll receive, and what freedoms you’ll lose.  We’re losing our freedoms before our eyes, and people are blinded by progressive shiny objects.  A heartless government, run by heartless progressives.

Listen to Emilie, from Tennessee tell her experiences with ObamaCare.

It’s time for politicians to come clean about the ObamaCare lies that were told, including “if you like your health care you can keep it.”
