Tropical Storm

ʻO ka uhiwai nō ka i ʻike i ka ʻino o ka wai, the mists are those that know of storm on the water

Tropical Storm Darby approaches.  It’s going to hit east Hawai’i island where we live.  We are as prepared as we can be.  I’m expecting trees to fall and power failures.  However, we have the generator, gas, food, charcoal, water and prayers to get through the next few days.  The next few hours will tell.

I hope Darby hooks north like the weather service predicts. I’m keeping track of the data from weather radar PHWA, right now the storm is just getting into range of the station.

My fingers are crossed that you won’t need the generator and your survival supplies.

    Stay safe.

Mahalo Zardoz! Winds here are moderate with gusts up about 15-20 MPH at this time. It’s partly cloudy with sunshine. I’m tracking it on

Interesting. NOAA predicted Darby to hook north, another model showed it continuing westward over all the islands and the link you provided shows the storm actually veering south and breaking up. Ain’t science grand?

A tribute to the leftist media that claims conservatives are anti-Science. Somehow, observation is no longer a science attribute, but computer models are all the definitive source. You can program anything you want. Shoots!
