Safety measures are in place for just about everything that affects our lives. In homes we have GFI (Ground Fault Interrupter) outlets to prevent electric shock. Fuses to prevent electrical overload and fires. Smoke detectors that let us know of fires. Building codes that allow structures such as homes to withstand storms and other disasters.
Large office buildings are built to withstand the shock of earthquakes. Built in fire sprinkler systems to put out fires, notify people in the building to exit, and to call the fire department to prevent a disaster. The roads and infrastructure have safety measures in place to prevent accidents. Seat belts in vehicles to prevent bodily injuries in an accident.
Child-proofing homes to protect small ones. Parental controls to protect children from the obscene. Neighborhoods have watches and emergency training programs to help people deal with disasters. There are so many common sense disaster programs in place to protect people and property. We do these things out of fear of disasters. That’s why we put into place disaster prevention programs.
So why then isn’t forestry management used to prevent forest fires? The fires in Australia remind me of the fires in Kalifornia. What’s the common denominator? Both have severe droughts. Both have water scarcity, even though their coastlines are surrounded by water. Both have a militant environmental activists that sue to restrict forest management and water distribution. Even the government would sue and confiscate property if homeowners harvested rainwater.
These environmental restrictions are the root cause to raging fires. There are other factors also, but largely there’s no protections in place for the prevention of wildfires. Arson is another factor. While the environmental activists are blaming the forest fires on global warming, little is said about the numerous arrests of arsonists starting forest fires. In Australia, and in the United States, thousands of people get arrested for arson. It is a leading cause of forest fires. Blaming forest fires on man-made global warming is easier than blaming people.
Kalifornia’s leftist governor, Gavin Newsom, tried to blame PE&G, the public utility company of causing the forest fires. Newsom went as far to blaming the Trump Administration for the fires. Meanwhile, Newsom is driving the utility company into bankruptcy. Resulting in rolling blackouts depriving people of the electricity needed to sustain medical equipment. Several people have perished because of Newsom’s mismanagement.
Precisely the same reasons why Australia wildfires are out of control. The fake news media was quick to blame the Prime Minister of Australia, but this is misguided blame since the problem with forestry management was not a priority. Again, this could have been preventable, or at least better controlled through proper forestry management.
It’s hard to accomplish good forestry management when you have environmentalist activists issuing dozens of frivolous lawsuits. Vexatious litigation is legal action which is brought, regardless of its merits, solely to harass or subdue an adversary. In this case, the environmentalists consume the courts time and taxpayer’s monies trying to prevent conservation methods to manage forest overgrowth. They’ll use a fish, a snail, a bird, a tree, something to use as a reason to alarm people into preserving a species as protected.
The flow of water into Kalifornia’s central valley was restricted because of a fish, a smelt. This resulted in the severe drought that destroyed many farms in the central valley. The environmentalists prevented the removal of forest undergrowth claiming it would hurt some special species. The resulting in the tinder overgrowth added fuel to the fires making them unstoppable. I can remember when forestry management was done by the logging industry. After cutting down timber, new seedlings were planted to restore the forests. Environmentalists didn’t like that trees were being cut down, so the sued to prevent logging and mills. They put a whole industry out of business. The logging industry was protecting and renewing the forest growth. The environmentalist saw only clear cutting and land laid to waste. That was never the case. Liberal judges sided with the environmentalists and destroyed an industry. Now it seems the rich fertile soil of the central valley will become dust bowls as farming comes to a close. If you’ve ever wondered why produce is so expensive, now you know, and you can thank a environut for that.
Like Kalifornia, Australia has a militant environmental groups. One of those groups is the notorious Sierra Club. The Sierra Club is not an environmental protector, they destroy the environment with unscientific claims of global warming, climate crisis and the end of the world as we know it. People believe this rubbish. People don’t do the work to verify their claims. Fear is a huge driver in people’s decisions.
Alexandria Occasionally-Coherent, claims we only have 10 years of life left on the planet. Did anyone ask where she got her information? NOPE! Did anyone ask for the science behind her claim? NOPE! Instead, activists mounted a campaign to spread fear with no one challenging the data. Well, almost no one.

There are many of us that have challenged the “Science is Settled” argument by activists distilling a climate of fear that the earth is heading to terminal destruction. Except it’s not. It’s a cleverly designed propaganda to convince people that a 16 year of girl has the clairvoyance into global climate change. Never mind the science that disputes the activists claims, we have fear motivating our beliefs.
The safety measure that should be in place are being ignored. Logic, reason, science and everything to build a cohesive disaster relief plan. Disasters are not just limited to natural events, but also to the human condition of fear, and fear will ultimately lead to disasters. Again, disaster prevention is there, but it’s distracted by fear. This is the real man-made disaster, succumbing to the fear.
Our weather today has been a mix of rain and sun. It’s expected to remain this way through out the weekend and into the new week. Our temperatures are 74 degrees with humidity at 70%. We have a small craft advisory for all the islands. Plenty of rainbows today, very vivid and pretty.
