I saw a “RESIST” bumper sticker plastered on the front windshield of a vehicle, and so I decided to create my own version of this bumper sticker. With a little tongue in cheek humor. To date, I’m pleasantly pleased with the performance of our President. As I have written before, expectations have been met, and I’m hopeful the Trump agenda continues to Make America Great!
The midterm elections were much more positive than I was expecting. So we lost the House of Representatives, but we gained seats in the Senate. That in itself is remarkable, for several reasons. 1) Gridlock: it means the government will not grow, and spending will remain at current levels. Given that the debt has grown, the revenue from lowered taxes is helping to reduce the debt. As businesses return, employers hire, jobs and the workplace grows, the economy expands to reduce the debt. 2) Democrat Agenda: Endless investigations! Trump’s tax returns. Who cares? Where is it a Constitutional requirement for any President to produce their tax returns? Although, I would support an tax audit of democrats. The average salary of members of Congress is $170,000 per year. How then do they make millions when in office? 3) Clownish Narcissism: When you have democrats calling for violence against Republicans. Mad Maxine Waters, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Adam Shift, Jerry Nadler, and others that want to spend taxpayer monies in endless show trials. The fake news media’s open hostility towards the President, his family, and to a large extent, the American people. There is an open hostility by democrats, and the leftist media, towards the middle class America.
The loss of civility has been growing since 2008. Democrats anger has become insanely violent. The cheerleaders in this violence is Obama, and democrats, encouraging people to violence. To the point that they are trying to stealing votes by magically finding ballot boxes in democrat districts. Openly trying to steal elections. This is banana republic corruption. Yet you don’t see conservatives rioting in the streets like democrats do.`
However, there is good news, if you look closely. North Korea isn’t throwing missiles around, war dead are being returned, as with hostages. Trade deals are becoming fair, and tariffs on American exports reduced, and eliminated. NATO is now paying their fair share. Hostages held by rouge regimes have been returned. Iran is feeling the pain of sanctions. ISIS has been all but destroyed. No new wars have broken out.
Several hundred of thousands of jobs have been created. Not just temp, or low paying jobs, but jobs that pay well for certain skill sets. The best job market in decades. Yet, the democrats have promised to raise taxes, regulations, and return the economy back to Barry Obama’s lackluster growth. Do we really want to progressively regress to transform America into the mediocre?
Besides foreign policy successes, domestic successes can also be counted. The stock market is up, and that’s good for people with investments, and 401K’s. As an investor, I blend my investments in both stocks, and bonds. This balance helps when the markets are up and down. Overall, investment prosperity is looking positive for the long term future. The economic fundamentals are strong. People with jobs are always productive. People that pray together, keep families together. There needs to be a return to civil moral standards, and a support system that helps people in need. I welcome that President Trump supports of faith-based organizations. It has helped all Americans, of all ethnicity’s.
I am blessed to be living in the Greatest Country in the World. I was lucky to have also lived all over the world. It brings a perspective that many Americans will never know. When Hollyweird celebrities threaten to move to other countries after an election doesn’t go their way, they never move. I even offered to help them pack. Yet, they are still here. If it’s so horrible here in the USA, then what’s keeping them here?
In addition to living in the Great USA, I live in the State of Aloha. In my life, I have lucky to visited many States on the mainland, and countries around the world. However, there is no place like Hawai’i Nei. To quote Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ, “There’s No Place Like Home!” Despite the fact that Hawai’i is a blue state, very liberal, highly taxed, and a cost of living beyond extraordinaire. How do you accomplish a comfortable life? By Planning. Living local, and within your means. Living in these subdivisions, is living without some services. We get no mail delivery. Our water is catchment system. The roads are unpaved. There’s no trash pickup. People moving here often don’t stay longer than 2 years. They bring their mainland baggage with them, and claim life here is too primitive. I always remind myself, it could be worse, I could be living in Venezuela. Of course, this doesn’t represent the entire chain of islands, just places were isolation excludes services people come to expect.
I know many of my posts can seem be negative, and depressing, but I’m only pointing out the wrongs that need, and can be, fixed. It can be too easy to focus on the negative, and ignore the positive. The good always outweighs the bad. JOY!
