A friend told me that once socialism takes hold it’s damn hard to get rid of it.  Yesterday, the United States of America moved closer to becoming a Socialist Nation.  What was Chief Justice Roberts thinking? I’m still reading the opinions of each justice’s and other opinions.  I surprised and disappointed by the ruling, but after reading into Roberts opinion it’s clear he threw this law back to the people of the United States to deal with.

Basically, elections have consequences.  If you vote these people into office, this is the kind of government you will get.  The Supreme Court is elected for life, the Executive and Legislative branches are the people’s responsibility at every two and four year election cycles.  It seems we’ve been electing the wrong people into office, starting with Obama on down and Roberts decided it was the peoples responsibility to deal with this.  So now what are we left with?

It was always a lie

Individuality is gone; we must now pay for our neighbor’s healthcare.  My neighbor must pay for my healthcare.  If we don’t we could be imprisoned by an unjust government.  Our choices are gone; we can never choose and keep our doctor, we cannot keep our insurance.  We will now have to live with a government death panel deciding our healthcare.  An existence tax has been imposed on everyone living in this country.  Did the Socialist Democrats know that when they passed the law?  Did they care?

Well we know they didn’t read the law because we had to pass the law to find out what’s in the law, as Nancy Pelosi said.  So, our elected officials are passing laws that no one reads until it bites us in the ass after the fact.  Is this the kind of government you want?

July 11^th a vote to repeal Obamacare will brought up in Congress, so says Eric Cantor.  This is good because the Socialist Progressive Democrats will have to justify why they foisted a massive tax increase on the American people.  As Representative John Dingell once said about Obamacare is that it takes time to put the legislation in place to “control the people.”

The Heritage Center for Legal and Judicial studies has this to say:

The American people and their elected representatives have a lot of work to do to repeal and replace the Obamacare statute. Moreover, we still have an uphill battle to restore and preserve the written Constitution we have been bequeathed, but the Court today put some temporary brakes on our republic’s descent down an extra-constitutional slippery slope in which the federal government can control any aspect of our lives that has any imaginable impact on commerce—meaning everything.

 

Johan Goldberg has an interesting article that uses a unique perspective on yesterdays Supreme Court ruling:

In the majority opinion written by Roberts, the Supreme Court held that the mandate to buy health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (aka ObamaCare) is unconstitutional under the Commerce Clause and the Necessary and Proper Clause. But Roberts also found that it’s constitutional under Congress’s power to tax. It is on these grounds that Roberts upheld the constitutionality of ObamaCare, siding with the four liberal justices of the bench.

This is important because it restricts the government from attaching a mandate in the Constitution.  However, since it is the domain of Congress to legislate taxes, then that is constitutional.

I.M. Citizen writes that Chief Justice Roberts is a genius, but I don’t necessarily agree with optimism; however, there are some good points to share.  Still, I would have rather had the whole law thrown out:

Ultimately, Roberts supported states rights by limiting the federal government’s coercive abilities. He ruled that the government can not force the people to purchase products or services under the commerce clause and he forced liberals to have to come clean and admit that Obama-care is funded by tax increases.

What I like about this point is that it makes liberals justify a massive tax increase as healthcare while not addressing the underlining problems with healthcare.  Plus it keeps Congress and the President from altering the Constitution at will with mandates.  However, the law still stands and it is a massive new government bureaucracy.  It is taxation without representation no matter how you look at it.

Obamacare law has a list of 20 new taxes on American families and small businesses.  You can see the list linked here.  The list is stunning because it shows which taxes have been enacted and those taxes yet to come.  It gets worse because the taxes include surtaxes on investments.  If you have a 401K or any other investment the government can charge a 43.4% tax on that investment to pay for Obamacare.  More stealing of your money by the government to fund their healthcare program run by Washington bureaucrats.

“[T]o say that the Individual Mandate merely imposes a tax is not to interpret the statute but to rewrite it,” the dissenters — Justices Scalia, Thomas, Alito, and Kennedy — wrote, adding that “legislators must weigh the need for the tax against the terrible price they might pay at their next election.” He then suggested that Congress intentionally avoided passing the mandate as a tax in an effort to avoid that election disaster. “We have no doubt that Congress knew precisely what it was doing when it rejected an earlier version of this legislation that imposed a tax instead of a requirement-with-penalty.”

Indeed it does, because Obama said it was not a tax, but it is a tax.  Obama has lied to us.  The people have elected socialists progressives liberals into Congress.   We have been lied to by sycophant’s that are now able to tax behavior.  Your choices will cost you.  Your income is already taxed, so now your behavior will be taxed.  What will this tax do to the healthcare industry?

Dr. Eck adds that under Obama’s plan, many payouts will go down – and many practices will go under.

“We don’t have to go back to the way it is now,” Dr. Eck said. “It’s actually way too expensive for taxpayers the way it is now, but ‘Obamacare’ will actually be worse.”

The government now has the ability to tax your activities and inactivity.  Like with global warming, a false theory, you would be taxed because someone will deem it a healthcare activity.  The types of food you eat will be taxed because the government will determine its healthiness.  Some foods will be outright banned because someone in the government will declare it non-healthy!  We see Michelle Obama campaigning on healthy foods while her husband campaigns at fast food joints.  A “do as I say, not as I do” leadership.  This has been the operation of the Obama regime, privilege is our domain and not the people’s choice.  This arrogance by Progressives that they know better than you.

This is happening today with Obama’s regime shutting down coal powered electrical plants.  A carbon tax can now be constitutional, because the court has now said that the government can tax anything it wants.  The government can now command you to pay what it determines as a tax.  Why stop at health insurance?  It’s all social justice isn’t it?

The flood gates are open now for the government to declare a tax on any activity you, the individual, can do.  Essentially, that is what Obamacare is a tax on your life.  Remember when Obama was asked about his healthcare plan and swore up and down that it was not a tax.  Obama Lied!

Obama Lied and Freedom Died

But I’ve been telling you that ever since Obama was elected.

Supreme Court Head Justice John Roberts declared Obamacare a tax in his written opinion.  It basically is a tax on your existence.  It is the government stealing your money.  How will the socialist democrats reconcile their tax on the American People?   It limits choice on healthcare options.  It forces Americans to purchase an insurance policy through the government.  You cannot tailor the policy to meet your needs.  Plus you’ll be forced to pay for services that you might object to, like abortion and contraception.  Then there is the availability of doctors.  You can have all the government health insurance you want, but if there are no doctors to see you, what good is Obamacare then?

Here are some unintended consequences of Obama care: 

1. With 30 million more people depending on the tax dollar for their health care, to think it is NOT going to cost the average American taxpayer more money as Obama promised is stupidly naive. So, hard working Americans, be prepared to bend over.

2. There will be a flood of patients wanting appointments for anything from tick removal to cold remedies. Why? ITS “FREE.”

3. There will be huge waiting lines for appointments because of #2. 

4. There will be a severe shortage of health care personnel. We experienced a nursing shortage a few years back. The answer was to lessen the requirement for nursing education. It brought into the professional community grossly under qualified people. Its going to be far worse now.

5. We will be seeing the most experienced and able docs opting out leaving lesser quality docs running the show. 

6. We will also see many of these docs near retirement hanging it up which will create a vacuum of the best docs. 

The quality of health care is about to diminish tremendously.

The socialist democrats are now claiming that this is all free healthcare.  However, nothing is free, someone needs  to pay for healthcare.  That leaves individuals and businesses with some decisions to make.

Employers may drop health insurance for their employees.  They might tell their employees to go to the state exchanges to purchase their health insurance.  Then the state will determine what you will pay for healthcare.

This is a new Ponzi scheme like social security.  Only this time it’s tied to one sixth of the economy and it’s not sustainable.  The bulk of the tax “penalties” will fall on the middle class.

Wall Street Journal video further explains the Supreme Courts ruling with interesting analysis.

Obamacare doesn’t address the fundamental problems with heathcare.  The prescription costs, the frivolous lawsuits, the quality of care; all these are glossed over by a tax to pay for a product the government demands.  It doesn’t fix the problem, it only adds to the problem.  Congress can raise that tax anytime it wants to pay for deficits in the law.   The law is a Ponzi scheme that will force taxes to be raised over and over.

If congress cannot get the revenue it needs to pay for the insurance, then what?  Doctors will leave the profession.  Why?  Because the government will be the only source of revenue for doctors.  Unless you pay cash.  This is the direction towards a single payer system.  Run by the government and controlled by the government.  I predict doctors and other healthcare workers will be leaving their practice.  Their salaries will now become singled sourced to the government.  Only those with the means to pay directly to the doctor will get the better healthcare.

Repeal and Replace

Healthcare will now be a two tiered system.  Those that can pay cash for their healthcare, and those that must rely on the government for healthcare insurance.  Obama has already stated that the quality of life is secondary to the quality of care.

If Obamacare is that good as Obama and the socialist liberals claim, then why are there over 2 million waivers?

Look at the other social programs run by the government; Social Security, Medicare and Welfare, all these programs are going broke.  Now add Obamacare and a tax placed upon you to pay for it.  In addition to the other social programs you now pay for, why should you want to be successful?  The government is only going to take it away and give it to someone else.  It’s wealth redistribution.

When has the government been successful running a business?  Never!

Your healthcare will now be judged by your taxable worthiness.  You pay more taxes; you’ll get the care you need, unless you’re considered not tax worthy by the government.  Your age and income will be scrutinized for what quality of care you will receive.  Once you reach retirement age, your healthcare will be throttled back in order to manage costs.  Elderly people require more healthcare needs than younger people do.  Because elderly people are not a long term taxable resource for the government, it is logical that expensive drugs and healthcare needs will less accessible.  Obama has already said the government will determine if you need that pacemaker or that procedure, just take the pill.

Your healthcare mandated tax will pay for abortions and contraceptives.  Your religious objections will not be considered, because your First Amendment rights are now nullified.  The Constitution was meant to restrict the power of government precisely for the purpose of protecting your liberty and mine from the overreaching hand of the federal government.

A massive tax increase has been placed on the American people.  Taxation without representation!

America has taken a giant leap into socialism.

Obama blames tsunamis, earthquakes, Europe, Arab wars, Israel, Republicans, Congress and Bush.  It gets painfully obvious listening to Obama joke about his malfeasance in the context that someone else is responsible for his lack of leadership.  He does like to pick his nose though.

Obama made the most ridicules claim that his administration slowed spending far more than any other administration.  That’s a flat out lie.  A graph from the website Down Size Government shows government spending from 2000 to 2012.  While both parties are equally responsible for the spending, Obama seems to forget that he signed the stimulus bill into law.  The $787 billion American Investment and Recovery Act was passed in 2009 by Obama and most of the money went to projects that were suppose to stimulate the economy out of recession.  It didn’t!  Why?  Look where the spending went.

$25 Million for new ATV trails.  $400 million for the National Endowment of the Arts.  $650 million for Cable TV converters.  $335 million to the Center for Disease Control to combat sexually-transmitted diseases.  $504 Billion went to of federal contracts, grants, and loans to states and territories.  Money went to Public sector Unions and to political donators like George Kaiser owner of Solyndra and other green technologies that eventually failed.  The money was lost and misspent.

Now Obama claims all this spending was done by Republicans and he’s not responsible for it?!?  It was Obama’s department of Energy under Dr. Chu that gave billions of dollars to failed green technologies.  It was Obama that spent millions on “Cash for Clunkers” and bailed out General Motors.  It was his administration that bailed out Freddie Mac and AIG insurance companies.  Not one House Republican voted for the second stimulus and only three Senate Republicans voted for it.

Now Obama wants to blame others for his poor decisions; well, who signed the bill?  This behavior is unbecoming of Presidency.  President Harry Truman said “The Buck Stops Here”, Obama says “The Blame Goes Elsewhere”.  Obama is a coward, a fraud, a charlatan and a fool if he thinks the American people don’t see this.  Obama doesn’t deserve to be President of this Great Country.  Obama’s economic advisers were “New Keynesian” economist that believed you can actually spend your way into prosperity.  Christina Romer, Larry Summers and Peter Orszag were all academics that had no real world experience on how economies work.  They failed miserably!

One of Obama favorite blame targets is George Bush.  “I inherited a trillion dollar deficit” Obama chortles.  He also had 3 and one half years to do something about it and his only achievement is taking over one sixth of the economy for Obamacare.  This monstrous hydra of government bureaucracy will destroy Health Care industry in the country.

Just how thinned skin is Obama?  Remember during the President Bush years when the left ridiculed President Bush with cartoon characterization, but even worse and despicable were the books and movies depicting the assassination of President Bush.  The HBO show “Game of Thrones”  features former President George W. Bush’s severed head impaled on a spike.

If this were Obama’s head on a pike, then the Secret Service would be knocking on HBO’s doors.  Hollywood liberals snicker and brush this off as non-political, but we all know this was another swipe at GWB.

Class verses an Ass, that’s the difference between Bush and Obama.  With all the threats, books and movies on the lefts wishful desire to see President George Bush assassinated, Bush remains above the fray.  Even today, this hatred by the left against conservative people is extreme and very typical by the left.

But what can you expect from Obama and the left?  Self-loathing hatred is who they are.  I don’t expect them to change anytime sooner or later.  But I do expect they will become shriller and viler as we get closer the election in November.  It is who they are.

People are not stupid and I believe Obama thinks the American people are stupid.  He believes that because he got elected and because the media treated him like the Messiah, he’ll get that same treatment again in November.  The media will continue protect Obama and Obama’s ego won’t allow him to compromise his Marxist ideology.  A megalomaniac like Obama will never ever turn his eyes away from his own reflection in the mirror.  That’s why he lectures everyone about responsibility, but that doesn’t apply to him.  Do as I say, not as I do.   Move over Jimmy Carter, Oblamer has become the worst President in American history.  What a Putz!

Wisconsin Wins And So Does America!

 

Wisconsin won big tonight and so did the American people.  Bloated Public Unions have pushed the envelope too far and the American taxpayers have made their voices heard.  No more!

Union pension demands that were negotiated with the promise of union votes to Democrat lawmakers have been a symbiosis for years in many states.  As the unions grew in power, the more they took from the taxpayers.  As unions promised more votes, the more socialist democrats gave more concessions to the unions.  The taxpayers never had a chance to negotiate how their money was to be spent.  Property taxes went up to extraordinary rates to pay for salaries, benefits and retirement pensions of government workers.  They were not in line with the private sector.  It was extremely unfair to demand that the private sector pay for the public sector workers.

 

 

The unions were not willing to negotiate; instead they demanded more from lawmakers.   The lawmakers complied and coddled the unions for their votes. Eventually, the salaries of government workers were not in parity with private sector workers.  A government worker receiving a taxpayer salary of $81,637 and compared to a private sector worker making $67,067 was woefully unfair.  Plus the private sector worker was paying for their healthcare and paying for their retirement.  The public sector worker wasn’t paying for their benefits and their retirement; it was the taxpayers paying for their benefits and retirement.  Were any public sector workers contributing to private sector workers benefits and retirement?  Nope!

 

 

Wisconsin elected a governor that changed all that.  The unions didn’t want to pay for some of their benefits and pensions, so they went on strike.  But the unions didn’t just strike; they forced a recall of Wisconsin’s governor Scott Walker.  The unions were determined to force the taxpayers to pay for their benefits and retirement.  Retirement is for life BTW!

 

 

These are the same people that cheat at elections.  They find ballots hidden in trunks of cars.  They intimidate businesses and voters into voting for the official that will continue to spend taxpayer’s monies in their favor.  These are the same union leaders making six figure salaries at taxpayer expense.  These are the same socialist democrats that want to prevent voter ID’s at elections to they can fix the elections in their favor.  Unions and socialist democrats have perpetuated a corrupt system at taxpayer’s expense.

 

 

Then there is the socialist, Barack Hussein Obama.  The media helped elect him and they continue to protect him.  This socialist clown is exposed now.  The unions are exposed also.  The media is exposed now!!  The relationship that they shared to rob the American taxpayer is over now.  Wisconsin proved that and in November Obama will be voted out of office.   The Republic will be restored!

 

 

Andrew Breitbart said it best at CPAC 2012.  The Unity Speech he gave said it all.  The Tea Party that has driven the elections since 2010 to reclaim the House of Representatives, State and local governments won big then.  The Tea Party was declared dead by the socialist democrats, the Lame Stream Media and condemned by the leftist’s communists.  Quietly, we’ve been working the local, state and national politics.  We no longer have to hold rallies and protest marches.  We are organized and focused.  We listened to Breitbart….

This is more than a win for the Wisconsin; this is a win for the American people.  This is a win for the Tea Party that was behind the scenes working to reelect Walker and other candidates that believe in American Constitutional Values!!!  In the words of Emperor Obama, “We Won!!!”
