Aloha kākou. Have you seen the price of gas lately? Last year in Hawai’i, gas prices were around $2.50 per gallon. This year it’s now $4.00 and climbing. In some places around the country the price of gas is over $5.00 a gallon. Even though the price of oil and petroleum products dropped during the Communist China Wuhan Kung Fu Flu Coronavirus bioweapon pandemic, the demand is picking up now that Covid is waning.

Just one year ago we were completely energy independent and we were selling oil and natural gas around the world. The regime of Jim Crow Joe Biden has dismantled our energy independence and returned us to rely on other countries for oil. Countries that don’t like us. The regime is begging OPEC and its oil-producing allies to boost production in an effort to lower gasoline prices. The concern is that rising inflation could derail the economic recovery as energy prices continue to rise. OPEC has told Jim Crow Joe Biden to go pound sand.

It’s not just gas, it’s also electric rates. And the government wants us to either drive electric cars or take public transportation. I haven’t seen the price of gas this high since the regime of Barry the Bullshitter Obummer and Jimmah Carter. The ripple effect will effect household budgets. Everything from the cost of food, clothing, building materials, and transportation will be cost impacted by the cost of energy. Wait till the winter months arrive and the price of heating homes and business are effected. We can only pray for a mild winter, but praying isn’t going to lower the cost of living.

Even worse that the Marxist democrats want to spend more of your money by increasing your taxes. The Marxist democrats use the same tired argument that the rich don’t pay their fair share. If that were true, then why are my taxes going up? Now the IRS wants to spy on my bank accounts to see whenever a transaction of $600.00 or more takes place. I call that a waste of time and money. I see banking fees rising to process all these transactions. This regime believes bank customers are subjects to the federal government, and banks work for the IRS. They do not, but you’re already assumed to be guilty of tax evasion by the IRS.

Millions of law-abiding Americans would suddenly have their bank accounts opened to federal investigators for no more reason than buying a refrigerator. To make matters worse, under this proposal, saving for college could put an American family on the IRS’s radar. These costs that will be passed on to the public. We’re paying our government to spy on us. This will be violation of Americans’ constitutional right to privacy, and said the costs associated with banks, credit companies, and other financial institutions complying with the requirement will be passed on to consumers.

The offramp to Marxism is here and we’re not at the wheel to steer away from economic ruin. Today at America’s ports of entry cargo ships are anchored off shore waiting to deliver needed cargo. The media says there’s a shortage of truckers to deliver products and supplies, but there’s more to it than just truckers. There’s the Covid restrictions in place that are preventing dock workers from loading and unloading. There’s a shortage of warehouse workers to house products. The entire supply chain is broken by the government paying people to stay home rather than get a job.

I see “Help Wanted” signs everywhere here in Hawai’i and around the country. Employers can’t get people to work. A local restaurant that I frequent reduced their hours because of staffing shortages. Just yesterday I went there for lunch and they were closed for the day. Which is a shame because this place is always crowded. My rule about restaurants is when they’re packed with customers, then you know the food is good. Many of the tourist attractions here in Hawai’i is the hospitality and tourist industry. But the State Covid restrictions have been discouraging tourists from coming to Hawai’i.

The State’s Covid restrictions vary from island to island, a guide is available on what to expect if you travel to Hawai’i. You are required to have a vaccine passport or a proof of negative Covid test to avoid quarantine. These restrictions are arbitrary and capricious.

You must limit gatherings to 10 people indoors and outdoors. Because Covid knows when more than 10 people are gathered in one place. Covid can tell when you’re not social distancing 6 feet apart either. Masks prevent Covid, somehow. Vaccines are proven to work, until they don’t work. Apparently, Covid can do math better than our so called leaders. As if there is some mysterious numbers barrier where Covid cannot cross. When asked how did they arrive at these numbers, we’re given the usual citations: the CDC, medical experts (who), Fhony Fauci (why). The same idiots that have been wrong all along. This isn’t living if the cost is so high.
