Aloha Lāpule. What curious times we live in today’s world. Where truth and lies are so clearly visible for all to see. Yet, many listen hard, but cannot see. Those that do listen refuse to hear. It’s been this way for a long time. The truth has taken a backseat to the lies. Challenge the lies and become a social pariah.
Angst keeps the truth captive as lies go unchallenged. It’s easy to live with a lie while dismissing the truth. It is said that telling the truth is easier than remembering a lie. When a lie is told often enough it eventually gets accepted as the truth. A yarn, a stretch, an exaggeration, a fabrication to be excused because of one’s reputation that precedes them. Such prevarications of the truth are what preoccupies our lowly troubles. What we accepted as the truth is the orthodoxy we must live within at our own forfeiture. Those are the rules of the game.
As a society, have we accepted reassuring lies over inconvenient truths? Acceptance is the path of least resistance when faced with the wrath of societal excommunication. Those with internal fortitude, that particular level of adeptness, are often uniquely gifted with the truth. They have the endurance to fight for truth. With others, it is often easier to live with deceit than to confront the agony of candor.
Disparagement of authenticity used to bludgeon an opponent while in front of the nation was a despicable act of cowardice. Knowing all too well that rage and jealousy that has damaged the nation solely weighs upon the accuser. The nation has arrived at a crossroads, do we continue with the lie that cannot be challenged? Or do we live with the truth that is absolute? I choose Truth over Lies. MAGA over Globalism.
